I’ve been creating YouTube and Social Media graphics for Bill Oakley* for several months now, and he recently asked me to help him design a new logo for use on Twitter and the like.
His ’59 Second’ fast food reviews are getting more popular all the time, so he requested we include some stylish, contemporary food iconography to help promote what he’s all about these days. This is deliberately similar to design work currently seen in American fast food restaurants.
All of these shapes were created very simply in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. “Cool and elegant” was Bill’s main direction, collaborating with him on stuff like this is always good fun and we were both pretty pleased with the results.
You can check out Bill’s weekly fast food reviews on his Instagram (where I’ve guest appeared a couple of times myself).
*Bill Oakley is primarily known for his past work on ‘The Simpsons’, as well as creating other series such as ‘Mission Hill’ and ‘The Mullets’.
